Gadsden County school board members met with about 40 parents and interested parties at Havana Middle School Monday evening to present a community conversation about the potential great benefits of merging Havana Elementary and Havana Middle Schools. Deputy superintendent Rosalyn West Smith introduced the program. “We want you to be part of a conversation, one that will explain the ‘what,’ the ‘why,’ the ‘how,’ and the ‘who.’ We’ve got architectural designs and we’ll facilitate the discussion about the purpose for restructuring,” said Smith.
